Prof. Hietanen lives in Sweden and speaks Swedish, Finnish, English, Scandinavian (based on bokmål and Swedish) and colloquial German. He is the world’s only university lecturer in rhetoric with a Finnish citizenship. Has trained thousands of people in rhetoric and argumentation.
Associate Professor, Doctor of Theology (New Testament exegesis), Master of Arts (Rhetoric, Argumentation theory, and the Philosophy of language), teaching exam in speech communication.
Awarded the title Excellent teacher (Uppsala University) and recipient of the Pedagogical Prize of Uppsala University.
Expert(*) in rhetoric, argumentation, exegetics and distance learning. Studied at Åbo Akademi, University of Helsinki, Universiteit van Amsterdam, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, and Misjonshøyskolen.
